Tier One Travel advisors recently gathered in Calgary for a unique and memorable culinary experience, taking part in a hands-on Mexican cooking class at Blue Flame Kitchen. The event brought together travel professionals for an afternoon of connection, collaboration, and authentic flavours inspired by the destinations their clients love.

Hosted by Heather Gerrard from Sunwing Vacations and Domenica Aresta from Royalton Hotels & Resorts, the afternoon was filled with learning, laughter, and full bellies as advisors rolled up their sleeves to create a Mexican feast themselves.

Guided through the cooking process, participants prepared a menu inspired by classic Mexican cuisine, including chicken al pastor, chorizo-style black beans, Mexican rice, and fresh pico de gallo. The group also enjoyed traditional accompaniments such as pickled red cabbage and the beloved dessert tres leches, rounding out a delicious and festive culinary experience.

The event created a relaxed and enjoyable setting for advisors to spend time together while experiencing the vibrant flavours and culinary traditions that make Mexico such a beloved destination for travellers. Experiences like this help strengthen the connections that make the travel industry such a collaborative and community-driven space.
