Raised in Calgary, I launched my career in travel over 40 years ago. My first flight took me to the islands of Hawaii and I found my love for travel. My passion for travel grows stronger with each journey I take. I am an Independent Travel Consultant affiliated with Tier One Travel. (I like to refer to myself as your personal travel concierge)

My passion for travel has allowed me to explore many parts of the world, with yet so much more to seek. I enjoy getting to know my clients, working with them to provide awe-inspiring experiences, so they can have memories to look back on for years to come. My focus is creating travel experiences where your dreams can become a reality.

Travel opens your eyes to more than just the destination; it educates you, actions the mind, and touches your soul.

There is a saying that goes "if you discover your passion, you will never work again". I have been fortunate enough to live this dream.

When I am not working in travel or exploring on a trip of my own, you will find me at the gym or in the mountains. I am a certified fitness & yoga instructor and love to sing, dance, run, hike and meet people.

Laurielee has been planning trips for us since 2008. It was on a trip to Spain and Portugal that Laurielee’s true value came to light. Our flight to Lisbon was delayed and we missed our connection. We advised Laurielee immediately and she was “on it”. Within a few hours we had a rental car booked and bus transfer to get us to the Algarve and our next reservation. She was tremendous!!

We always had the idea of having a destination wedding and when I began doing some research, I saw that a good travel agent was a must in order to help us with the planning. That’s when I began looking for travel agents in our area and another bride recommended LaurieLee to us. When we had our first meeting, my husband and I had one resort in mind but during the meeting we still talked about what we expected from the wedding, our budget and what kind of resort we wanted. When our first pick did not work out, LaurieLee quickly suggested other resorts that I hadn’t heard about before, but that fit all of our criteria. When we saw Azul Fives we fell in love with it and their venues. That’s where the fun began! LaurieLee was able to give us an amazing quote for our group and we were sold! She worked endlessly to make sure everyone interested was booked before the deadline. I know that our group was not always the easiest one to manage, but LaurieLee handled it really well. It was great to have someone available that I could call with any questions, even if they were resort-specific questions. She was always there to address any concerns, not only from us, but also from our guests. I think communication plays a big part when planning a destination wedding and LaurieLee went above and beyond to make sure my husband and I were always in the loop. We had not been to Azul Fives before our wedding, which made us a little nervous, but the moment we arrived we knew exactly why LaurieLee had recommended it to us and we were so thankful. This was even better than I could have ever imagined! Everything was perfect, including our wedding day. All of our guests were raving about the resort and the food. Our whole group was just ecstatic about our choice, and as the bride and groom, it felt great to know that our guests were happy and comfortable. I have to thank LaurieLee for all her hard work. Our trip was amazing and yes you're right, that first week went by way too fast. We are thankful and so glad we stayed for the additional week. The staff was incredible! They were so professional and thorough I was honestly shocked. We had a meeting with our wedding coordinator, Denys the day before the wedding. She went over every single tiny detail of how the day was going to play out, what we had previously agreed to and a backup plan just in case the weather wasn't in our favor. The wedding day couldn't have gone any better. The weather was gorgeous and it only rained for a couple minutes while everyone was transitioning from the reception to the dance on the beach…just enough for "good luck". Our officiant for the ceremony spoke perfect english. All the guests said they could hear him clearly throughout the entire ceremony and loved the humor that he added. The dinner was incredible! We chose the Cajun Buffet. It was a huge spread of shrimp, chicken, flank steak, potatoes, rice, salads and desserts. It was the best food we had in the 14 days! The wedding cake was delicious! Denys was such a sweetheart; she had the kitchen/bakers add decorations to the cake even though we didn't pay the additional charge. It looked great! The servers and bartenders at the reception were wonderful. As soon as my drink was low, they would come find me and replace it with another. Same with Garrett; they would find him and actually check if his beer was still cold. During the dinner they had a server in every corner to ensure every guest was looked after. The DJ was great! He had no problem doing a couple announcements for us since we didn't assign a MC. He played a wide variety of music which seemed to keep the dance and party going. We ended the reception with a sparkler sendoff! I'm excited to see if the photos of that turned out. It was the best day of our lives! We can't thank you enough for everything you helped with. The process of planning a wedding in a different country can be stressful, but with your experience it was very relaxed. I can't wait to send you more photos!
